HLC Meats uses best practices to get our crafted cuts safely to your home. Our packaging includes dry ice and cooler boxes to ensure that your meat stays cool and fresh during transport. We ship all meat via 2-day air with UPS to minimize transport time. A business address is recommended for shipping perishable goods.
We encourage you to use our package tracking system to get the items from your doorstep to your home refrigerator; general guidelines suggest within 2 hours of receipt (1 hour when the temperature is above 90°F), but the dry ice and cooler boxes can greatly extend the time.

To the heat
Once you receive your meat, we recommend the following handling instructions.
1. Chill
Keep refrigerated for no more than 3-5 days or frozen up to 6 months
2. Thaw
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or submerge sealed meat in cool water
3. Separate
Keep raw meat separate from other foods during preparation
4. Wash
Wash working surfaces, utensils, and hands before and after
5. Cook
Cook thoroughly,

6. Enjoy
Serve hot and refrigerate leftovers immediately to enjoy again
To your plate

For that perfect doneness
- Bring meat to room-temperature before cooking
- Rinse if desired, but then dry thoroughly
- Coat with salt and pepper to taste
- Sear on high heat to lock in moisture
- Cook at medium-low heat until desired finish
- Let meat rest 2-5 minutes before cutting
- Serve and enjoy
